Frequently Asked Questions

Therapy offers personalized support to navigate life’s hurdles and uncover underlying patterns that may be holding you back. Whether you’re seeking profound insights through psychodynamic exploration, practical skills via cognitive-behavioral techniques, or relief from stress though mindfulness practices, therapy presents transformative possibilities. Additionally, trauma-focused approaches promote healing, while ketamine therapy offers innovative solutions, especially for conditions that have been resistant to treatment.

I specialize in supporting individuals facing a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, relational trauma, impostor syndrome, and stress and burnout. Drawing from over 15 years of experience, I offer a diverse range of treatments tailored to your unique needs. From traditional modalities like psychodynamic therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy to innovative approaches such as ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, my aim is to provide you with effective solutions for growth and healing.

With a doctorate in clinical psychology from William James College and specialized training at Harvard Medical School, I bring a wealth of expertise to our sessions. My background includes academic and clinical positions at renowned institutions such as Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston University School of Medicine, Cambridge Health Alliance, and Harvard Schools. Rest assured, our therapeutic journey will be anchored in evidence-based practices, offering you high-quality care tailored to your needs.

Taking the first step towards therapy can feel daunting, which is why I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation. During this time, we’ll discuss your concerns and determine if we’re the right fit for each other. If not, I’m more than happy to provide referrals to other trusted providers. Feel free to reach out via call or message to schedule your free consultation today and start your journey towards healing.

Anticipate a confidential space where we can explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace. Sessions typically last 45 minutes and are tailored to address your specific challenges and goals. Together, we’ll work on understanding your struggles, developing effective coping strategies, and fostering personal growth. Your input guides our progress, ensuring that our sessions are focused on promoting positive change and overall well-being.

While I’m in-network for student health insurance plans at Tufts University and Boston College, I operate as an out-of-network provider for other insurances. However, you may be eligible for out-of-network reimbursement. I encourage you to contact your insurance company to explore your out-of-network mental health benefits. Detailed invoices will be provided at the end of each month for you to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.

Understanding the financial aspect of therapy is important. Here’s an overview of my pricing:

  • The 15-minute consultation is provided free of charge. It’s an opportunity for us to connect and determine if we’re a good fit for your needs.
  • The initial appointment involves a comprehensive psychodiagnostic evaluation to gain a deeper understanding of your story. This session is priced at $350.
  • Subsequent individual psychotherapy appointments typically last 45 minutes and are scheduled once a week. The cost per session is $300.

Payment can be made conveniently via credit cards, checks, or cash. An on-file credit card is required for my records, even if you prefer cash or check payments.

To ensure efficient care for all clients, I maintain a 48-hour cancellation policy. This policy allows me to accommodate everyone’s needs respectfully. Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations; failing to do so or missing an appointment will result in being charged the full session fee.
